The Ormeau Table Tennis Club is hosting our annual junior challenger Tournament. This is the perfect junior tournament for players of all ages abilities for both boys and girls.
The challenger is a fun and competitive tournament endorsed by Table Tennis Ireland. The format of the tournament will be “mixed” groups with boys and girls competing in different divisions depending on their tournament experience. Group stages will comprise of 4 players and after the group stages players will play off for their final positions.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each division.
Tournament Timetable

Division 1 9-12 pm (Maximum 20 Entries)
Division 2 12 -3 pm (Maximum 20 Entries)
What’s my child’s Division?
Division 1 is perfect for more experienced players who have played multiple challengers. This event is not suitable for any boys in Ireland’s top 10 cadets/juniors or any girls in Ireland’s top 5 cadets/juniors.
Division 2 is perfect for beginners of all ages who are very new to competitive table tennis. This is a perfect division for your first tournament with a focus on fun and low-level competition.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
Matches will be played according to the current rules.
The tournament will be based on graded divisional play. The order used for determining Divisions will be based on Irish Junior Rankings, previous Challenger Series performance, coach input and technical volunteers input on the day of the event.
The organisers reserve the right to place new players where appropriate using the information supplied.
A condition of entry to the tournament is that players agree to abide by the Code of Conduct of the ITTA. This and the other regulations for the tournament are published on the website www.irishtabletennis.ie
